Good but not great.
Personally, the only thing I would return to Max Brenner's for is their mouth-watering waffles with chocolate sauce and ice cream, and strawberry and banana slices on the side (even if two waffles do cost a whopping ~$15). Other items on the menu can be found pretty much at any other eatery serving desserts. Their hot drinks are good as winter warmers (particularly the ones served in the infamous "hug mugs" and the sucao which is made by melting chocolate drops over a small candle flame) but you'd probably get much better at hidden cafes scattered throughout Melbourne or even at Kokoblack. Nevertheless, Max Brenner's is a good place to go to satisfy those chocolate cravings though, be prepared to wait at least 10 minutes for a table as it is often packed to the brim.

Chocolate...
It is my frequent gathering place after dinner with my friends... Love its Chocolate drinks, desserts... However, since it is always filled with people, the service and quality are not consistent...
